Bucket wheel mechanism is the executing mechanism of bucket-wheel stacker reclaimer or reclaimer, which reclaims bulk materials such as coal and ore through the rotation of bucket-wheel. Bucket-wheel mechanism consists of bucketwheel body, bucket, bucketwheel drive device, shaft (complete with bearings), rear plate, ring receival chute and supporting structures, etc.

Bucket-wheel is usually driven by motors, coupling, gearbox and brake or hydraulic motor.

The arrangement of bucketwheel shaft can be two different types, one is long shaft type and the other is short shaft arrangement. In order to increase unloading angle and excavation depth, short shaft arrangement supporting structure is usually used by most of clients, and the bucketwheel drive device is located on the non-discharge side of the bucket wheel.

1. TechSolutions designed bucketwheel body are of cell-less design and no pockets for accumulation of material.
2. Bucket-wheel are designed with enough rigidity, strength, durability, good cutting angle and shape, and high bulk material reclaiming efficiency. Bulk material accumulation and wear can be avoided most effectively, and hundreds of wear-resistant protection plates are welded at the positions where the two sides of the bucket-wheel body are easy to contact with materials.
3. TechSolutions designed bucket-wheel can minimise the specific cutting forces involved in the reclaim operation.
4. TechSolutions designed buckets are equipped with replaceable lips or hard wear-resistant welding layer, blades and teeth which are of the pin on type and readily available in our warehouse or local agent.
5. TechSolutions designed buckets are equipped with adjustable sealing plates to the ring chute to minimise spillage loss.
6. Bucket-wheel body and bucket wheel shaft are connected by high-strength bolts or friction connection, which is convenient for maintenance and disassembly.
